Do any of you programmers here use a macbook?

i was going to buy one but i am very into programming and website design and was told buy a guy in PC world that they are no good for programming, having past experiencs with PC world i know that alot of the employee's dont know anything about computers so i was hoping that maybe some of you lovely people may know if they are any good for it or not?

i'd say for scripting purposes windows would be the more viable option burt for design macbooks have the edge. anyhow your probably better off getting a macbook you u want one you could always run windows through using boot camp on the mac.

thanks , but you can deff program thorugh it, im not gonna waist £950 on it lol

Programs work fine on all types of operating system fella, but you must be aware MAC and windows are very very different.

What is it you are planning on programming, because ideally, a LINUX set up is the best option for programming, but that depends on what programming work you are doing.

Have you used a mac before, as they are different to PC, but they are nicer for designing.

ye ive used one i just love the way they run, i swear it is impossible to crash one. i may get a better desktop and just use my tv as a screen. i get alot more for less money and it will be windows so i know where to go.

as for the programming side i do 2 diff types:

website programming - currently still very basic at
software programming using C# - slightly better at
