I'm an ex-pat living across the border in Wales nr Cardiff but the longer i live there the more I like the countryside and the people. I watch TV currently watching Californication(top show), Dexter Heroes ,Mad-men and loving Flight of the conchords always watching The Sopranos and The mighty Boosh as they are classics. I Read books Sci fi Neuromancer, Iain M banks, Only forward and just read Altered Carbon and Alfred Bester's Tiger Tiger Also likes Marvel Ultimates commix, LOTR, Westwing, Firefly Music I love Jazz (Miles, Coltrane,Herbie Hancock, Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova), Reggae (Lee Perry, Augustus Pablo,Burning Spear, King Tubby, Fat Freddy's Drop), Drum 'n' bass (Hospital Records, High Contrast, Logistics, Mistabishi, i.e. not the mental stuff) I like Gaming (mis)Spent youth in arcades late 80's (so play Tron, defender and Robotron on Xbox arcade!) then found you could play them at home! . Grew up through 48K spectrum onwards. Played a lot of Pro Evo over the last 6 years. Never really tried online gaming but finished COD4 and thought I'll try multiplayer before I sell it on ebay. Whoops. Now playing playing Gears of War 2, Tiger Woods 09, COD4, PES 2009, burnout paradise, R6V2 and loving it. I enjoy gaming with like minded people who like winning but it isn't the be all and end all. Much more important to have laugh/drink ![]() FR me up for murder/death/kills |

Re: Mister pip's intro
Quite an introduction you have made there, detailed and specific. I was in the arcades for only a tiny part of my youth in the early 90's, but they never captivated me the way they did some of my mates.
Going online is what changed my views on games, and what I will buy. I used to look for hours of gameplay in a campaign/story mode, but a great game has even better multiplayer game play. Welcome to the community, and await your welcome from them. ![]()

Re: Mister pip's intro
My arcade days consisted mainly of dancing stage euromix and house of the dead. I'm not as cool as these older lads.
Anyways welcome to the site, sure you'll settle in fine, keep active, look forward to seeing you around!

Arcades aren't what they used to be.

Re: Mister pip's intro
Welcome buddy, ahh arcades i have many a fond memories of the late 80's in many an arcade. The phrase "can i do your gears mate" springs to mind as your trying to enjoy your last 20p on power drift whilst defending your gear stick with your life in fear of some 6 year old busting you in to low gear
