I found Farcry 2's game play is close to pathetic, the only good feature I thought it had was the map editing, which shouldn't be considered that good because the pc has always provided that option with every game out there . I don't play pc games anymore because I converted to a TV and a trackball mouse for couch based browsing lol.

Far Cry is an awesome game. Playing it will no doubt remind you a little of CS. How long did you play it for N4UX?

About 10 minutes , you know what they say about first impressions, they stick. This is just my opinion, I seek realism in the games that I play, so to name a few things I noticed, I thought that the animations were poor;
- the weapon graphics needed work
- the bullet registry and damage model fine tuned (I fired 3 shots from the sniper rifle into the head of someone who was standing still at point blank range)
- world environment's to be more interactive (If I paint a wooden shack with a flame thrower, It would be nice to see some effect)
- and finally I disagree with enforcing the class system when clearly there was scope to have a buy menu system when the game is based around the African black-market.

I guess those are the main points that I wanted to avoid from stating when I simply put "pathetic" in my earlier post. I guess I know what I like and I just didn't see it with Farcry 2, which I'm really sorry about as I was really looking forward to getting the game as well. If there is more to be said on this, feel free to create a Farcry 2 review, Id be happy to rent the game so I have more of an opinion and offer some comparisons to other games.

I played farcry2 for 3 days and the map editor was a good laugh and the game wasn't bad either. N4UX, your such a sauerkraut, i'm glad i don't know you...
