Xbox 3?

Now i know what your all thinking.. Xbox 360 has only been out 2 years etc but ive been thinking lately

With the Developers of GOW 2 - Epic saying GOW 2 Is now pushing the 360 graphics power to the limits, how much longer till microsoft throws out the next big thing, ie the xbox 3? or Xbox 720, Xbox 1080 you get the picture

I personally dont mind because i go for gameplay over Graphics hence the reason i play RSV2 Over crysis (i have both games)

Also on a side note. Has anyone heard anything more about Splinter cell conviction? I heard alot about it in magazines after Splinter cell Double agent but havent heard anything since, its not been canceled or anything like that has it?

splinter cell conviction was put back to that drawing board after the developers at ubisoft saw what was on show and thought that their game was very poor and very "last" gen, so we wont be seeing it for a long time.

as for the xbox 3 it wont happen soon, the markets too strong and as for gfx, as soon as theres a 100% stable game using the cryengine2 that looks as good as crysis on max then we will see plenty more games and then we might get an xbox 3 but atm its unlikely.

I doubt Gow2 Pushed the 360 to its limit. Cliffy isnt going to say hey, We could have made the graphics better

Microsoft also released a statement a few years back, to say that the xbox 360 will be around for a long haul, much like the PS2. That is part of the reason the xbox 360 has sold more than any of the other consoles. The PS3 was, and in some cases still is, seen as an overpowered blu ray player.

But the markets are getting more stable, and the games are consistently hitting new highs, and getting more sales. Why change a winning formula??

For me, I would say there won't be another generation from microsoft at least for 2 more years.

Splinter Cell Conviction's been moved back to next year I believe, nothing was said about the game for months so it's not surprising.
I'm also in agreement that there won't be an 'Xbox 3' or such from Microsoft for a good few years, I remember reading a representative from Microsoft saying they hope the 360 will last to 2011 I think... Not sure about the year but it's more or less right I think.

Also because crysis sucks :P I mean cmon you have your little cloak on and bam they see you instantly... wtf? then your "armour" when you're hit by one shot energy drains to zero and you start taking damage as normal... again wtf? and the NPCs... they sponge more bullets than you and your the one in the super suit... the game has too many stupid things like that to make me want to try and get more than 5 minutes into it.

its not shite if u can actually play it :P i find it fun, and they see u cloaked because u can still make noise, if u run around while cloaked close to them of course they will shoot, they arent highly trained or anything they are scared as f**k wouldnt you be scared if a guy in a suit was running around killing everyone and you were next :P, as for bullet damage they do where alot of kevlar so u should just headshot them and they fall down one shot, and the armour is just meant to take the initial impact so you can take cover and continue the fight its not like invunerability. anyway i play it on delta without issues and its fun :P
