Re: Should I
I'm guessing it would be alot easier (like Ben said) if you had some people committed to the cause first. That way you wouldn't have to go out recruiting people, them asking how many members you have, and you replying "2 but that's cos we are a new clan".
Would you join that guy? I wouldn't.

Re: Should I
Speaking from experience, You should have ideally held a position of responsibility with-in a clan, before ever attempting to make your own clan.
With out this level of experience, most new clans fail or fall apart. Having members with this experience will help a lot, so gather a few mates together, and see what your options are, to form a new clan.

Re: Should I
if you are thinking of starting a clan without clan experience i would go with caution. you can get into some sticky situations and it is very time consuming.
if you really want to go ahead with it start with 1 team, play together and improve your teams game before branching out into a clan (which i consider multi game and not just 1) once you get the experience of running a team then try to branch out into a clan if you feel confident enough. |

Re: Should I
well my first ever clan was the one i created and have learned alot throughout the years of running a clan so I can let you know anything thats needed to know about managing and the running of a clan. started in 2002 and still going, casual gaming is where clans are made to last, clans that are very competetive and out to win don't last long and with xh i know from experence.

Re: Should I
As pretty much everyone in here has said, Starting a new clan is alot of work and requires a hell of alot of dedication. I started my clan earlier this year and had absolutly no clan experiance at all (as alot of you may have noticed) however i am very dedicated and spent alot of time making contacts and getting to kno others in the clan community. it is Very possible to get a clan going - infact very easy. but keeping it going is something else. I was lucky enough to have a number of like minded people that i knew personally and over XBL that started the clan with me, with out them it never would have gotten off the ground. recruiting is soooo hard to do, especiallly when you are an unknown clan. VG Pelega's point is very valid too, it is essentail to have a good idea as to which direction u want to take your clan in, what games, what ages, what nationalitys etc. I would say that running your own clan is highly rewarding when it is going well so its well worth the effort if you think you can.Another plus point is the WoC community is a great help for running a clan too. The decision is yours. |
